We had a delightful stay at a beautiful, cosy hut with a lovely view. The owner was very friendly and gave us great recommendations for dining. The hut was clean, well-equipped, and had plenty of pillows. We enjoyed the peacefulness and even had some quality time without our phones. we were very happy with our stay and would definitely return.
The wifi didn't work for one of us, and the mobile signal wasn't great. However, this allowed us to disconnect and enjoy some phone-free time, which turned out to be quite enjoyable.

I had a wonderful stay at this charming shepherd's hut tucked away in a peaceful location. The hut was immaculate and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I enjoyed the lovely view from the hut, overlooking the field with beautiful horses. The kitchen facilities surpassed my expectations and the host was friendly and helpful. It was also great to have good WiFi connection and plenty of plug sockets. a perfect retreat to relax and unwind.
The chairs on the decking were a bit uncomfortable, but I brought my own fold-away chair, so it wasn't a problem.

The location of this hut is convenient for getting to nearby attractions and public transportation. The 840 or 843 bus is just a short walk away, making it easy to reach York city center. Castle Howard is only a few miles away, although I wouldn't recommend walking there due to the dangerous roads.
There was a significant issue during our stay that caused us to leave early. There was an unbearable and foul odor coming from the shower and toilet.

The location is a bit tricky to find, with no sign off the main road and Google Maps not recognizing the address accurately.

We had a totally different and enjoyable experience at this unique glamping spot. The hosts were friendly and allowed us to enjoy our stay without feeling intrusive. The beautiful garden, horses in the field, and the lovely river on our doorstep added to the charm. The shepherds hut was quaint and quirky, and we loved the comfortable bed and the warm bathroom with a radiator. The provided cooking facilities were a pleasant surprise, and we managed to whip up a full English breakfast with ease. The cleanliness of the hut was spot on, and we enjoyed the quiet and central location, which made for a relaxing getaway.
One thing we would have liked is a small television in the hut, just for some entertainment during downtime. the location was a bit isolated and there was nothing within walking distance.

We had a fantastic time at the Waterside Shepherds Hut in York. The hut itself was absolutely adorable and provided a unique and cozy getaway. The heater was a real game-changer, quickly warming up the space and making us feel right at home. The hot water and tea bags provided were a nice touch. The hut was decorated beautifully and the lady who welcomed us on arrival was lovely. We will definitely be returning to this hidden gem when we visit York again!
The breakfast experience could have been better. Instead of the advertised continental breakfast, it consisted of a tin of beans, 4 eggs, a loaf, and jam.
